The Kaiju Preservation Society
Not a bad book, but Scalzi’s voice just really rubs me the wrong way. It’s glib in a way where most all of his characters sound the same, to my ear, and the way they sound is Clever and Cool and Relateable. I did like this better than _Redshirts_, and by all reports Scalzi is a great guy and a lot of folks love his stuff. Guess it’s just not for me!
