Anathem

Not a flawless book, but an ambitious and enjoyable one. Biggest problem, as is often the case for our buddy Neal, is that he really doesn't know how to write women and honestly isn't all that interested in them. But the world he comes up with is so well-realized and thought through that I was really torn on 4 vs 5 stars -- but, you know, flawed.
